Accounts Clerk / Accounts Executive
On behalf of our client, Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit an Accounts Clerk or Accounts Executive (depending from the experience) to strengthen our finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Post general ledger entries, including journal postings.
- Record income and expenditure by department / cost centre.
- Post and allocate purchase ledger (creditor) payments.
- Process monthly bank and cash vouchers, ensuring correct VAT coding and cost centre allocation.
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded; flag any discrepancies to the Finance Manager.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations and related reports.
- Maintain organised filing of invoices, vouchers, statements, and posting documents.
- Recommend improvements to data input forms to ensure completeness.
- Suggest ways to reduce processing time and improve operational efficiency.
- Support validation processes to safeguard data integrity.
- Maintain high-quality standards of accuracy and service.
- Perform other finance-related duties as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar accounting role.
- Qualification at A-Level standard or equivalent in Accounts.
- Strong communication skills with fluency in both written and spoken English and Maltese.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel.
- Experience using accounting software.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and methodical.
- Good team player with a proactive mindset.
