Data Science and BI Team Lead

Our iGaming Client is looking for Data Scientist & BI Team Lead to manage a team of Data Scientists and BI developers. You will be responsible to lead, structure and set team goals, whilst also ensuring an effective and result driven cooperation within the team. You will be the go-to person for all technical challenges and decisions, while also being fully hands-on and supporting the team with coding and/or building BI dashboards.

The second part of the role within our B2B service company will involve collaborating with a variety of stakeholders (internal as well as our B2B clients), and technology teams to understand their data requirements, identify opportunities, and translate them into technical specifications, models, designs, and an architecture for BI systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Be a key member of the business leadership and project teams, providing insights to guide data-driven decision-making.
• Meet the ongoing data needs of the business, supporting commercial success, and future-proofing data capabilities.
• Help the data team enhance, build & optimize data assets.
• Be able to Project Manage when needed.
• Lead your team with extensive experience in database design.
• Oversee best practices and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Develop and support the Business Intelligence environment through collaborative relationships across the business.
• Work with business representatives to define key performance indicators, and address pain points across the business.
• Develop a roadmap for capturing and assessing business needs to support the business intelligence environment.
• Stay current with industry trends regarding the direction of Data Science and BI, such as, the application of big data and AI.
• Package internal services to B2B clients.

Requirements

• Strong leadership, mentoring and management skills (2-5 years experience) in a fast-paced work environment, as you will be responsible for leading a team, delegating tasks, providing guidance, and managing priorities.
• Profound experience in the iGaming industry and its KPIs, as well as statistics and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Able to organize and plan work to satisfy established timeframes.
• Thrive in solving problems strategically, and hands-on working with a focus on practical outcomes.
• Flexible and resilient approach, and the ability to cope well under pressure with different demands.
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels in a collaborative style.
• Graduate-level (BSc/BA and/or Master degree) education in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, Economics, or other relevant field.
• Fully proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with ETL tools and methodologies.
• Experience in designing data warehouses and data lakes.
• Experience with Oracle (OCI, Oracle Autonomous Database) or similar infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of data modelling.
• Experience in data profiling and quality assurance for the verification and accuracy of data.
• Experience with BI visualisation tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong, proven knowledge and experience in the following fields: Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence
  
• Knowledge of database and data security techniques.
  
• ML Ops and DevOps knowledge is a plus.
