Accounts Officer
Manpower is seeking to recruit an Account Officer to join our client's team. As part of the growth of our client's Finance department, we are seeking to recruit an Accounts Officer to join a team of experienced and dedicated professionals. The chosen candidate would report to the Head of Finance. The ideal candidate would be self-driven and able to manage his/her own workload whilst eager to learn and develop in this field.
The duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting in all book-keeping functions including bank reconciliations, posting of invoices and maintaining all accounts for receivables/payables up to Trial balance;
- Preparing and processing payments in a timely manner;
- Assisting in the monthly client billing process/sending out invoices to clients;
- Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns;
- Liaising with Auditors, Tax and VAT Department and MBR, necessary and as directed by the Head of Dept;
- Filing of documents.
Requirements:
- An Advanced Level in Accounting is required;
- Previous experience in an accounting role would be considered an asset;
- Knowledge of sage would be considered an asset;
- Excellent ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written;
- A proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with external and internal
- departments ensuring lines of communication remain open;
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
- Competent in the use of standard office tools including Microsoft Office and other;
- Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision.
