AV Technician

Overview

Manpower is seeking to recruit an Audiovisual (AV) Technician to join our client team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and operating audiovisual equipment for events, ensuring the smooth setup, testing, and functionality of all AV systems. This role is ideal for individuals with technical skills and a passion for event management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and dismantle audiovisual equipment for various events, ensuring high-quality sound and visual outputs.
• Test equipment before events to guarantee proper functionality and troubleshoot any technical issues.
• Collaborate with event coordinators to understand technical requirements and implement necessary setups.
• Maintain and organize AV equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and properly stored.
• Assist in rigging and other technical setups when required.
• Provide on-site support during events, addressing any technical issues promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional and customer-oriented approach when dealing with clients and event participants.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in audiovisual equipment setup and operation.
• Strong technical aptitude with knowledge of AV systems, sound, and lighting equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and perform basic maintenance on AV systems.
• Knowledge of rigging techniques is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Formal training or certification in audiovisual technology or a related field.
• Experience working in the events industry or similar environments.
