Assistant HR Manager
Overview
We are seeking an HR professional to support our client's various HR functions, primarily focusing on recruitment, compliance, discipline, and document management. This role will also assist with performance reviews and goal-setting processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with department heads to develop job descriptions.
- Analyze job responsibilities to identify necessary qualifications and skills.
- Prepare and post job advertisements across various platforms and coordinate with recruitment agencies.
- Screen and filter applications while maintaining applicant records.
- Assist hiring managers during the interview process.
- Communicate effectively with candidates to ensure a positive experience.
- Implement and communicate HR policies.
- Generate reports and analyze HR data.
- Ensure compliance with employment, tax, and social security laws.
- Provide guidance to management on compliance-related matters.
- Assist with disciplinary actions in accordance with established procedures.
- Draft warning letters and other disciplinary documentation as needed.
- Ensure all HR documents are received, organized, and maintained accurately.
- Help manage employee absences, ensuring proper user rights and permissions.
- Address HR inquiries and resolve related issues.
- Perform other HR-related duties as required.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior HR role.
- Fluent in Maltese and English is a must
- Certification in Employment Law.
- Proven experience in recruitment, compliance, and disciplinary processes.
- Strong understanding of HR and payroll laws.
- Extensive knowledge of employee absence entitlements.
- Proficiency in HR software (preferably Shireburn) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with payroll calculations.
- Understanding of income tax procedures.
- Knowledge of benefits and deductions.
