Manpower is seeking to recruit an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join a reputable and fast-moving organisation in Malta. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who is confident in managing the full payroll cycle and enjoys working in a structured, collaborative finance environment.
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for administering and executing the entire payroll process while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. The selected candidate will also support wider finance operations as needed.
Running the full payroll process, including compiling and validating timesheets based on punch clock data
Following up on missing information and clarifying employee absences with managers
Identifying and reporting anomalies in attendance and timekeeping systems
Obtaining required approvals for timesheets
Managing employee sick leave and vacation leave balances
Performing inter-company reconciliations
Supporting senior team members with payroll and finance tasks
Preparing monthly reports and ad-hoc analysis as required
Assisting with general finance duties as part of the wider function
Previous experience managing end-to-end payroll for medium or large organisations
Ability to independently handle the full payroll cycle with minimal supervision
Preferably educated to a minimum Advanced Level in Accounts
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Excellent organisation, accuracy, and attention to detail, especially when working under pressure
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work both independently and within a team
Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of Maltese is considered an asset
