Payroll Clerk/Admin

On behalf of our client, Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Payroll Clerk/Admin. The Payroll Clerk/Admin will primarily be responsible for the Time and Attendance System and querying any discrepancies with the respective departmental heads within the group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer the time and attendance system across the group.
• Manage vacation and sick leave records in line with Maltese employment legislation.
• Draft employment contracts and other employment-related letters.
• Support the onboarding process by registering new employees on HR systems, collecting required documentation, and maintaining up-to-date records.
• Liaise with Identity Malta, JobsPlus, and other entities to handle work permits and government forms.
• Assist with employee benefits administration.
• Support offboarding processes, including terminations and exit documentation.
• Perform general filing, email correspondence management, and other administrative duties as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of one years experience in a similar HR role.
• Strong team player with the ability to also work independently.
• Excellent attention to detail; organised, reliable, and trustworthy.
• Able to manage tight deadlines and work under pressure.
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
• Familiar with Maltese employment legislation.
• Experience using Dakar or Shireburn payroll systems would be considered an asset.
