Retail Stock and Data Analyst
The Retail Data Analyst will play a key role in enhancing the company's data-driven decision-making capabilities by providing accurate and in-depth analysis of inventory, sales trends, and stock movement. This role involves monitoring and analysing sales figures, overseeing stock levels across outlets, and ensuring efficient order processing and inventory management. The ideal candidate will bring analytical expertise to support effective inventory control and provide actionable insights to optimize retail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Sales & Inventory Analysis: Generate weekly sales reports for all outlets and conduct trend analysis to support data-driven decisions.
· Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock levels through regular stock counts, audits, and reconciliation procedures; monitor stock transfers between stores.
· Order Processing & Documentation: Assist in processing stock orders, create and update seasonal style sheets for brands, and maintain comprehensive records of stock movements, adjustments, and discrepancies.
· Business Reporting: Provide regular reports on stock levels, variances, and sales trends, including detailed stock valuations and depreciation analyses.
· Problem Resolution: Identify and address stock discrepancies, collaborating with stores, logistics, sales, and finance teams to implement corrective actions.
· Supplier Coordination: Work with suppliers to gather raw data, relevant invoices, and maintain accurate product pricing and documentation.
· Stock Take Procedures: Assist in the formulation and execution of periodic stock-taking to ensure inventory accuracy and data integrity.
· Information Dissemination: Present reports and insights to management and relevant teams through presentations and meetings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in stock analysis, inventory management, or a related role within a retail environment.
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience using inventory management systems (Navision experience preferred).
· Analytical mindset with excellent data interpretation and problem-solving skills.
· Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across multiple departments.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Education:
· Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
