Chemical Lead

Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Chemical Lead to join our client's team.

The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting the prepress departments by overseeing process improvements, operational efficiency, and technical standards within printing press service and platemaking operations. This role focuses on ensuring smooth workflows, maintaining high-quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the department.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams to maintain operational readiness, improve processes, and ensure compliance with strict production and quality requirements. They will also contribute to laboratory operations, training initiatives, and the development of standard procedures that enhance performance and reliability across prepress operations.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure printing press service and platemaking requirements are addressed efficiently and within agreed timelines
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote team collaboration across prepress operations
• Maintain operational readiness to comply with strict production and quality standards
• Oversee laboratory and chemical process activities within the division
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and support staff training initiatives.

Key Requirements:

• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
• Technical aptitude with quality assurance and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing
• Previous experience in people management or team leadership
• Excellent technical report writing and presentation skills
