Tax Lead Associate

Overview
Manpower is seeking to recruit a Tax Lead Associate to join our client's existing Tax team.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join our clients tax team on a full-time or a reduced working week, reporting to management within the same division. The candidate will help the team with tax compliance work and provide advisory support and a quality service to a growing number of both local and international clients. Job Responsibilities:

• The Income Tax and VAT compliance requirements, including the preparation and submission of Income Tax Returns and VAT Returns;
• Handling MTCA forms, including DDT10, CFR02, Shareholder Registrations, Fiscal Unit Registrations;
• Preparing the necessary tax forms for share transfers;
• Technical tax matters
• Conducting reviews of tax forms/ reports / workings prepared by junior associates;
• Handling client communications and attend client meetings;
• Liaising with Tax Authorities;
• Conducting research on relevant tax legislations;
• Meeting deadlines

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (University of Malta or ACCA)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
• Has 3-4 years of post-qualification experience
• Positive can-do attitude
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Pro-active and Organised with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
