Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller (MEP & Maintenance) to join our client's team.
The Financial Controller will oversee the financial operations within a technical contracting environment, ensuring accurate reporting, strong cost control, and effective financial planning. The selected candidate will support the financial performance of MEP and maintenance projects by monitoring project costs, analysing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
The role requires close collaboration with project managers, operational teams, and senior management to ensure projects remain financially viable and aligned with strategic objectives. The Financial Controller will also be responsible for managing budgeting processes, forecasting financial performance, and ensuring robust internal financial controls. This position plays an important role in providing financial insights that support operational decision-making and long-term financial planning.
Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and financial reports
Monitor project performance through KPIs, cost-to-complete analysis, and work-in-progress reporting
Oversee project costing and ensure accurate allocation of labour, materials, and subcontractor costs
Manage cash flow forecasting and support working capital planning across multiple projects
Supervise the finance team while strengthening internal financial controls and processes
Key Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or ACA preferred
Minimum 7 years experience in financial management, preferably within construction or MEP environments
Strong knowledge of project accounting, revenue recognition, and financial reporting standards
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
