Finance Manager

Manpower Malta are seeking a Finance Manager on behalf of our client

Responsibilities

• Preparation of management accounts and other reports and presentation of same to the Board of Directors
• Review and interpretation of complex data
• Preparation of financial forecasts/budgets
• Analysis of performance against budgets and against prior years
• Preparation and analysis of monthly departmental contribution reports for the group
• Cost analysis and control
• Monitoring the finance teams tasks, ensuring reporting is timely
• Understanding of processes and procedures with the objective of improving performance
• IT and Control Systems updating for continuous improvement
• Liaising with external auditors to ensure the smooth running of the group companies audits
• Monitoring of E.U / National Grants that the group may benefit from
• Maintaining updated KYC documentation for the groups advisors, bankers, service providers
• Preparation and submission of the groups VAT returns
• Assistance with the ongoing KYC and bank forms
• Filling of NSO questionnaires and statistics
• Contribute towards talent development of other team members within the finance team, be willing to take on a hands-on approach and assist them as and when required, hence promoting teamwork
• Other general duties that may be required by the directors and chief financial officer

Requirements

• ACCA or equivalent
• 2-3 years experience in similar role
• Team player
• Ready to pull his/her sleeves and assist lower level staff as required mentoring them and teaching them
• Keeping with deadlines set
• Does not need constant reminders
• Show initiative
• Organisational skills
• Must be English and Maltese- speaking
