Senior Professional Electrical Engineer

About the Role:

As an Electrical Engineer, your tasks will encompass:

  • I. Collaborating with landscape architects in the planning and implementation of green infrastructure projects to seamlessly integrate electrical components and create preliminary engineering drawings, for the project`s electrical needs.

  • All electrical designs shall be based on the concept of energy efficiency with the intent of minimizing energy consumption, operating costs, energy wastage, and contributing towards carbon neutrality through renewable energy sources.

  • Creating final engineering layouts for the Electrical services of any works contract, including preparing all the necessary specifications, estimates, and bill of quantities for all the electrical engineering services aspects of the project. You will also assist in the tendering process to engage a Works Contractor for the on-site services execution.

  • Overseeing the electrical engineering services of projects until completion, including certifying works progress through interim and final payment certificates.

  • Conducting energy audits to identify areas for improvement and proposing energy saving solutions to reduce the environmental impact of park operations.
  • Providing technical expertise on electrical components for outdoor recreational equipment offering guidance on the selection, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems for park amenities like playgrounds and sports facilities.
  • Supporting the organisation`s sustainability goals by proposing and implementing innovative technologies and practices that align with the organization`s sustainability and environmental conservation commitment.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems in green spaces to ensure optimal performance through regular inspections, repairs, and upgrades to uphold reliable operation and minimise downtime.

About You:

Manpower is looking for an Electrical Engineer of the highest personal and professional integrity,

principle and knowledge, while creating a positive atmosphere within the Team.

The role requires the possession of a minimum of a masters degree in Electrical Engineering (MQF

Level 7) or an equivalent recognised qualification as approved by the MFHEA, a warrant in Electrical

Engineering, and at least twenty-four (24) months of progressive experience in Electrical Engineering

projects.

We are still interested in your candidacy even if you do not yet possess a warrant. However, if selected,

your appointment will be conditional upon either obtaining and submitting a copy of your warrant

within twelve (12) months from your appointment date for this role or providing proof of your warrant

application submitted to the Chamber of Engineers, and obtaining the warrant thereafter.

You will also need to be able to communicate clearly in both Maltese and English, be in possession of

a clean police conduct not older than six months from the date of this application and a Driving License

Category B.
