Insurance Associate (Maternity Cover)

Job Description

The role is required to cover maternity leave and is open from 1 October for 6 -8 months.

Supporting the team's handling specialised insurance placements (Financial Institutions, Professional Liability and Cyber).

Purpose

Provision of account management services for an allocated portfolio of clients. To aid in the overall service provision to clients and ensuring the business is run in accordance with the company's approved model.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Provision of the day-to-day servicing of our European clients insurance programme to support the retention and development of the business.
• Effective and timely management of all renewals to ensure completion by the due date.
• Obtain quotations both for new and renewal business.
• Preparation of market and client documentation.
• Check policy documentation for accuracy prior to issue to the client.
• Provision to the client of policy documentation in accordance with regulations and in line with company procedures.
• Deal effectively (and to the satisfaction of the client and the market) with queries.
• Supporting the Clients Servicing team in placement and co-ordination of the insurance programmes.

Competencies

• An understanding of the general, legal principles of insurance.
• An understanding of professional indemnity and directors liability insurance will be considered an asset.
• Commitment and ability to service the insurance needs of clients.
• Eye for detail in carrying out documentation checks.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with clients, insurers and other associates.
• Ability to manage time, prioritise and ensure that deadlines are met without compromising quality.
• Ability to work in a team and build and maintain relationships with clients, insurers and associates.
• IT skills to use the computer desktop software provided by the company.
• Knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software applications.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
