Power Plant Operator

Job Description:

Manpower is seeking skilled and reliable Power Plant Operators to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with generator operations, troubleshooting, and mechanical maintenance. This role involves monitoring, controlling, and maintaining power generation equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and control generators, including starting and shutting them down through a software-based control system.

• Perform hot refueling procedures safely and efficiently.

• Diagnose faults on generators, including both engine-side and alternator-side issues.
• Conduct inspections and maintain a moderate-level understanding of generator electrical and mechanical components.
• Replace mechanical parts on the engine side as required, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards.
• Monitor system performance and report irregularities or potential issues.

• Follow all operational, safety, and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience as a Power Plant Operator or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of generator systems, including mechanical and electrical components.

• Proven experience in hot refueling operations.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve faults on both engine and alternator systems.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with replacing engine-side components.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
