Compliance specialist
On behalf of our client, manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a proactive and detail-driven Compliance Specialist to support regulatory oversight and AML/CFT operations. In this role, you will work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure internal processes meet external standards while helping the business operate smoothly and responsibly.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, review and analyse compliance-related data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform KYC checks and conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) when required.
- Review and validate information submitted at branch/team level to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
- Carry out screening and adverse media checks to identify potential risks.
- Ensure compliance with MFSA, FIAU and other relevant regulations, requesting documentation and clarifications as needed.
- Conduct periodic compliance monitoring and recommend improvements to internal controls.
- Maintain and update compliance systems and software
- Prepare ad-hoc reports for management and regulatory requests.
Requirements
- Fluent in English and Maltese, with strong written and verbal skills.
- Educational background in Finance, Law, Business, Compliance, or a related area.
- Minimum 2 years experience in compliance or AML/CFT, ideally within financial services or real estate.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate findings clearly.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proactive, adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
