Maintenance Manager

On behalf of our client, Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Maintenance Manager.

Key responsibility's:

• Support the Operations Manager in developing and integrating new technologies and process improvements.
• Lead a team of technicians, fitters, and apprentices, including rostering and performance management.
• Coach and develop technical staff, ensuring objectives are met and maintaining records through the HR system.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement focused on product quality, process efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Manage and implement preventive maintenance programs across Processing and Treatment.
• Coordinate scheduled maintenance, working closely with service providers and ensuring spare parts availability.
• Maintain accurate inventory of critical spare parts using the companys ERP system.
• Organize troubleshooting and urgent repairs in the event of breakdowns, using lean principles to reduce downtime.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are compliant with Health & Safety, Hygiene, Quality, and Food Safety standards.
• Collaborate with production teams to align maintenance planning with operational schedules.
• Monitor data trends on performance and utility usage to identify preventative actions and improvements.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols to protect team members.
• Provide out-of-hours guidance and support for critical equipment issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering.
• 5 years of leadership experience in a technical or manufacturing setting.
• Solid knowledge of both electrical and mechanical maintenance, including automation systems.
• Experience managing technical projects and implementing engineering solutions.

• Strong planning, organizational, and decision-making skills.

• Proven leadership capability with experience guiding technical staff and external contractors.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
