Technical Sales Manager

Overall Purpose

On Behalf of our Client, Manpower Malta is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to procure sales and source products related to cash automation (note/coin counting equipment), queuing systems, and complementary accessories and maintenance services.

To build strong supplier and customer relationships in order to enhance profitability and ensure the companys long-term success.

To support the Managing Director in achieving and surpassing business objectives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. To develop and implement sales strategies for the company's products and services.
  2. To achieve both short and long-term sales growth objectives.
  3. To identify and develop new business opportunities, ensuring maximum market penetration.
  4. To conduct market research and analyze customer needs, competitor activity, and industry trends.
  5. To create and present business cases and bespoke solutions tailored to customer requirements.
  6. To establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
  7. To negotiate contracts and set, monitor, and achieve KPIs, sales targets, and marketing campaigns with vendors.
  8. To ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through quality service and prompt responses.
  9. To work closely with the Credit Control Department and sales team to monitor aged debtor analysis.
  10. To represent the company at conferences, workshops, and networking events and stay updated on industry developments.
  11. To maintain clear and effective communication with subsidiary companies and internal teams.
  12. To ensure compliance with ethical business practices and uphold the companys professional standards.
  13. To keep updated on the companys products and services, as well as developments in Sales Management.
  14. To continuously seek knowledge on competitor pricing, sales tactics, and industry trends, reporting insights to the Managing Director.
  15. To participate in training and certification programs as required.
  16. To travel overseas when required for supplier meetings, training, or industry events.
  17. To ensure a high quality/standard of work and service throughout.
  18. To perform any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

The position calls for a highly motivated professional with excellent sales expertise and is proficient in closing various sales leads and managing customer accounts.

  1. Be sales and business oriented with an aptitude for negotiation;
  2. Have good leadership and analytical skills;
  3. Possess an excellent level of verbal and written communication skills in English (Fluency in Maltese will be considered as a preference);
  4. Be able to work collaboratively in a team and on own initiative;
  5. Be willing to travel overseas to attend fairs and training;
  6. Possess a clean driving licence;

Preference will be given to candidates possessing a bachelors degree or diploma in electrical engineering / IT and to those having sales experience within the Banking, Retail, Hospitality and Information Technology Industries.
