Cocktail Barman/Barmaid

Manpower is seeking to recruit a Barman/Barmaid to join our client team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in cocktail preparation and stock management. This position requires someone who can take responsibility for the bar location during evening hours, ensuring smooth operations and delivering excellent customer service. The candidate will report directly to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a wide range of cocktails and beverages to customers following established recipes and presentation standards.
• Manage bar operations during evening shifts, ensuring that all services are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
• Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available and used efficiently.
• Place orders for bar supplies and coordinate with suppliers as needed.
• Conduct regular stock counts and ensure that inventory is accurate and up to date.
• Handle cash and POS transactions, ensuring accuracy and balancing the cash register at the end of each shift.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, making recommendations, and responding to inquiries or complaints in a professional manner.
• Supervise any junior bar staff during evening shifts, ensuring they are properly trained and following service standards.
• Assist in maintaining a positive and energetic atmosphere in the venue during evening hours.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar role, with strong cocktail preparation skills.
• Knowledge of bar stock management and inventory control.
• Ability to work independently, taking responsibility for the bar location during evening shifts.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with customers.
• Knowledge of health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
• Ability to handle cash and POS transactions accurately.
• Flexibility to work evening shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Job Info:

• Type of Contract: Indefinite direct with our client.
• Salary: Depending on experience

• Working Hours: Monday to Sunday with 2 days off and shifting as follows:
  • 1st Shift 7:00 - 16:00
  • 2nd Shift 12:00 - 20:00

• Candidate location: Must be already living in Malta
