Business Systems Analyst

The Business Systems Analyst will report to the Operations Manager Projects (OMP) and will be part of the team responsible for technical project analysis and delivery for all internal and external operational systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the OMP in all upcoming and current operational projects from requirements gathering to production release stage
  • Track all incoming changes from third party service provider, actively document impacts and inform internal stakeholders.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business and operational stakeholders to understand their needs, document requirements, and ensure clarity and alignment with business goals.
  • Assist in change management activities including impact assessments
  • Analyse existing business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and automation. Make recommendations for process optimization.
  • Create detailed system design documents, including data flow diagrams, workflow diagrams, and user interface mock-ups.
  • Work with development teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure solutions are feasible and as required
  • Create test cases and assist in any required testing
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes, requirements, and system configurations
  • The ability to analyse data to uncover insights, trends, and patterns
  • Provide training where necessary
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices and make recommendations for process and system enhancements
  • Report regularly to the OMP on project status
  • Execute ad-hoc tasks as may be requested by the OMP

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Business & Computing or Equivalent
  • Direct involvement within the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
  • Exceptional Communication and Organizational Skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage time and prioritise work
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Hands on experience using APIs and Postman

The following are considered an Asset:

  • Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role
  • Experience with Credit Cards, Prepaid Cards and lending products
  • Experience with Project Management Tools
  • General Accounting Experience
