SENIOR TECHNICIAN
The Senior Technician is responsible for diagnosing technical, mechanical, and electrical faults and performing vehicle servicing and repairs efficiently to ensure high customer satisfaction. Additionally, the Senior Technician assists the Garage Manager and supports other employees by delivering specialized internal training.
Tasks:
- Inspect vehicles to assess damage or malfunctions and determine repair requirements.
- Conduct full and partial replacement/repairs of wiring harnesses promptly.
- Ensure servicing and repairs are completed within specified timeframes and comply with manufacturer's specifications.
- Perform duties with caution to prevent accidental damage to vehicles and components.
- Review work orders with supervisors, plan work procedures based on technical manuals.
- Update the Workshop and Aftersales Manager on vehicle condition, safety hazards, and current/future faults.
- Stay updated on new vehicle models, manufacturer's technical specifications, and franchise standards.
Knowledge:
- Mechanical: Understanding of machine and tool designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- English and Maltese Language: Knowledge of language structure, content, spelling, composition rules, and grammar.
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong teamwork abilities.
- Fluency in Maltese and English is essential.
- Proficient in computer usage.
- Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualification as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic/Technician.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy.
