Main Duties
To carry out regular inspections and examine for defects in building services, plant, equipment, installations, etc. and to keep relative records.
To perform preventive maintenance work on building services, plant, equipment, installations, appliances, tools, etc. in a manner that disrupts to a minimum the production process and to keep relative records.
To attend to faults and breakdowns of building services, plant, equipment, installations, appliances, etc. in a prompt manner.
To carry out fault identification and localisation and subsequent repair works on building services, plant, equipment, installations, appliances etc.
To examine drawings, wiring diagrams and specifications to determine the appropriate method and sequence of operations.
To carry out modifications and new installation work on building services, plant, equipment, appliances, etc.
To supervise contractors' personnel carrying out maintenance, servicing or installation works, and ensure that work is carried out to the standards acceptable to the Company.
To perform technical support functions to assist with the design, development, installation, operation and maintenance of building services, plant, equipment, installations, etc.
To propose to the Maintenance Manager any modifications to plant and machinery that would enhance efficiency or quality standards.
To ensure that all operational, safety and security standards and regulations established by the Company, are adhered to at all times.
To provide support to the rest of the staff of the Maintenance Department as required.
To keep oneself updated on developments and technical innovations.
To ensure a high quality/standard of work and service throughout.
To perform any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
A technical-related diploma, such as a Higher Technical Diploma or an Ordinary Technical
Diploma, and a Journeyman's Certificate at a Technician level are essential. Two years
experience in a technical-related post would be desirable.
Must be hands on and practical in his/her approach to work.
Must be knowledgeable on safety codes and regulations.
Must have good eyesight and normal colour vision.
Must be able to work under pressure and should be capable of solving problems effectively
