Job Purpose
The Manager Business Solutions Department will oversee the entire ERP and business applications division, ensuring smooth project delivery, team cohesion, and client satisfaction. This role requires a seasoned leader capable of managing project managers, functional consultants, and developers, while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring technical and operational excellence across ERP implementations.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead, manage, and develop the Business Solutions team, including Project Managers, Functional Consultants, and Developers.
· Oversee end-to-end delivery of ERP and business solution projects, ensuring they are on time, within budget, and meet client expectations.
· Act as the key client-facing representative for the department, managing escalations, expectations, and long-term relationships.
· Collaborate with the General Manager and leadership team to define and implement departmental goals, KPIs, and growth strategies.
· Drive process improvement initiatives, ensuring standardization and optimization across implementation methodologies.
· Provide mentorship, performance evaluations, and professional development for all team members.
· Ensure effective cross-departmental collaboration with other divisions such as Technology, Digital, and Creative.
· Oversee resource planning, workload balancing, and project allocation to optimize performance and utilization.
· Maintain a strong understanding of ERP systems, accounting principles, and business processes to support both functional and technical discussions.
· Identify risks and provide effective solutions to resolve delivery challenges.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Minimum Bachelors degree in Business and Computing or an equivalent qualification.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in managing ERP or Business Solutions departments.
· Proven leadership experience managing project managers, functional consultants, and development teams.
· Strong knowledge of ERP systems, project lifecycles, and business processes in areas such as accounting, supply chain, and CRM.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex project and people challenges.
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage clients, stakeholders, and technical teams effectively.
· Solid understanding of business and accounting fundamentals.
· Strong command of written and spoken English.
· High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
· Experience with ERP platforms such as Odoo, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.
· Relevant certifications in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) or ERP implementation.
· Background in IT consulting or digital transformation environments.
Additional Requirements
· Availability to travel to client sites as needed.
· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Working Conditions
Work Arrangement: Office-based with flexibility for hybrid work.
Travel: Occasional travel to client sites in Malta and/or Cyprus
