Senior Accounting Advisor
Overview
Manpower is seeking to recruit a Senior Accounting Advisor to join our client's team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for a portfolio of clients operating in various industries and actively managing and enhancing relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction;
- Responsible for ensuring that the accounting record of a portfolio of clients are maintained in line with applicable accounting standards
- Completing VAT returns, tax returns and management accounts, and liaising with auditors;
- Managing own workflows, workloads, and deadlines;
- Leading projects or ad-hoc financial reporting tasks as delegated by management;
- Liaising with relevant authorities on behalf of customers;
- Assisting team members as their primary point of contact and reviewing their work, ensuring effective communication and motivation in line with the company's vision and values;
- Assisting in the onboarding of potential clients;
- Reassessing and proposing improvements to systems and processes as and when required;
- Identifying opportunities for growth
Requirements:
- Being ACCA qualified or hold an equivalent qualification.
- Having a minimum of two years experience in a client facing role, ideally in a CSP environment.
- Being a team player with a positive attitude who can communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Fluency in a language other than Maltese is considered an asset.
- Excellent command of IFRS or locally accepted accounting standards.
- Working on own initiative and in a team, with a proactive approach.
- Being well versed with Maltese VAT and tax legislation.
- Possessing risk awareness and high integrity when dealing with confidential information
