Financial Controller
Manpower is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller to join our client's internal Finance team.
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role will play a pivotal part in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving financial performance across our clients hotel subsidiaries.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic business partner by driving forecast preparation and review processes across all subsidiaries.
- Lead consolidated monthly reporting, including Management Accounts, CEO Reports, Profit & Loss for Owners, Departmental Management Accounts, Ad hoc reporting as required.
- Manage statutory compliance and reporting for the Maltese Parent Company, including Quarterly VAT Returns and Recapitulative Statement submissions, Tax compliance, Ownership of the audit process,
- Preparation of annual Financial Statements, NSO reporting and other statutory requirements.
- Oversee and manage key Hotel Management Agreements (HMAs) terms, ensuring timely compliance with obligations and proactive database management.
- Support the finance team with banking queries and other day-to-day financial operations.
- Supervise and mentor junior finance team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
- Assist with other finance-related duties and cross-functional projects as required.
- As the clients level of business varies, there is a need for flexibility in attitude, approach and working hours

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Strong technical expertise with IFRS standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Experience with accounting systems, ideally Infor Sun.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Maltese and
English. - Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)
- Highly trustworthy, charismatic, and able to build strong working
relationships. - Organised, methodical, with a proactive can-do attitude.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proven team player.
