Infrastructure Manager
On behalf of our client, Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit an Infrastructure Manager.
You'll manage the core systems and teams, driving daily operations and projects while safeguarding budgets, safety, and quality. Your leadership keeps builds on track and the yard performing at its best.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the shipyards infrastructure systems, including logistical, electrical, hydraulic, and communication networks
- Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and workers, ensuring collaboration and alignment with project goals
- Plan and coordinate daily activities, monitor project progress, and proactively address any delays or issues
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and environmental standards, fostering a safety-first culture
- Manage budgets and resources for shipyard infrastructure, handling procurement and optimal allocation of materials and equipment
- Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and production teams to align infrastructure needs with all phases of shipbuilding
- Provide regular progress reports on infrastructure operations, efficiency, and critical issues to project leadership
- Drive process improvements, implementing innovative solutions to minimize downtime and reduce operational costs
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years experience in similar roles, managing infrastructure within shipyards or related industries such as construction or civil engineering
- Proven leadership experience managing complex, multidisciplinary teams
- Advanced technical expertise in infrastructure systems (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical) and shipyard operations
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a results-driven mindset
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of safety and environmental regulations relevant to shipbuilding and construction
- Good command of English, both spoken and written
