Contracting Executive

Manpower is seeking to recruit a dedicated and detail - oriented Contracting Executive to join its client's growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic Destination Management Company (DMC), playing a key role in sourcing, negotiating, and securing contracts with local service providers across the tourism sector. As a Contracting Executive, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with local suppliers including hotels, transport providers, restaurants, venues, and activity operators. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring a diverse, competitive, and high-quality product offering for both leisure and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) clients.

Key Responsabilities 

  • Source, negotiate, and secure competitive rates and terms with local suppliers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential partners.
  • Negotiate annual, seasonal, and ad hoc contracts, including special offers and value-added services.
  • Ensure all contracts are accurately loaded into the internal reservation system or submitted to the relevant teams.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to ensure a competitive product offering.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to provide product support and tailored solutions.
  • Coordinate supplier site visits and familiarisation trips.
  • Ensure all contracting activities adhere to company policies and legal requirements.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a contracting or product-related role within a DMC, travel agency, or tour operator is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the local market and tourism service providers.
  • Highly organised with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Maltese is considered a strong advantage. Additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with tour operator systems or CRM platforms is an asset.
  • A valid drivers license is preferred due to the nature of the role.
