Product Leader

Overview
Manpower is seeking to recruit a Product Leader to join our client's team.

The Product Leader plays a pivotal role in strategic production planning, raw materials management, and employee coordination, fostering an efficient production environment and ensuring timely and high-quality product delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive production plans aligned with the business objective, considering market demands, resource availability, and production capacities.
  • Strategically manage raw materials inventory & deliveries.
  • Lead, mentor & motivate the team by fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and performance feedback.
  • Continuously assess & improve production processes, implementing best practices to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and ensure adherence to health & safety and quality standards.
  • Generate regular reports on production metrics, analysing performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Enforce adherence to the 5S principles to maintain an organized and efficient work environment.
  • Support R&D projects related to processes and products.
  • Investigate and analyze consumer complaints thoroughly, identifying root causes and trends to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Deliver training programs for internal teams and assess training effectiveness through evaluations and feedback mechanisms. Monitor and evaluate performance, providing regular feedback and coaching.
  • Foster strong relationships and effective communication channels with cross-functional teams & departments to ensure seamless coordination and information sharing.
  • Perform other relevant tasks assigned by superiors as required.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of MQF Level 5 Qualification in science-related subjects and previous experience in a similar role leading a team would be considered an asset.
  • Proficient in computer use, especially Microsoft Office tools and ERP systems.
  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of 5S principles will be considered an asset.
