Credit Control Officer

Manpower is seeking to recruit a Credit Control Officer to join our client's team.

We are seeking an organized and meticulous Credit Control Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, and the ability to manage client relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor Accounts: Regularly review customer receipts to ensure payments are up-to-date.
  • Debt Collection: Follow up with customers on overdue payments through phone, email, or written correspondence.
  • Credit Risk Management: Review customer credit applications and assess creditworthiness.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present accounts receivable reports to senior management.
  • Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve disputes related to unpaid invoices in collaboration with operational teams.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of payments, overdue accounts, and communications with customers.
  • Petty Cash Management: Handle the petty cash function as required.
  • Ad-hoc Tasks: Undertake additional reporting and tasks as assigned by senior management.

Educational Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirement: 8 MATSEC O Levels or equivalent international qualification.
  • Preferred: Diploma or degree in accounting, business, or a related field.

Key Skills Required

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English (Maltese is considered an asset).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook. Familiarity with SFM is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills to handle a high volume of accounts and meet company targets.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, generate reports, and identify trends related to cash flow and debt recovery.
  • Experience in credit control, dispute resolution, and managing client relationships is a valuable asset.
  • A diplomatic approach to resolving disputes and negotiating payment terms.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
