Technical Specialist
Overview
Manpower is seeking to recruit on behalf of our client, to assist the Operations Manager-Technical Sales Division and the Technical Specialists- Team Leader in the after-sales service and to assist in achieving the goals and objectives set by the Company.
Job Responsibilities:
- To carry out the technical tasks as instructed by the Operations Manager-Technical & Sales Division and the Technical Specialists-Team Leader on a daily basis.
- To carry out technical fault finding, servicing and installation processes.
- To participate in business development meetings as required to give technical advice.
- To procure sales of the company products and Services as indicated by the Management Team.
- To participate, as necessary, in training programmes for personnel of actual or prospective customers.
- To assist in other sectors of the company as may be required.
- To train junior technical colleagues as may be required.
- To constantly share company information with colleagues.
- To undergo any training in Malta and overseas as deemed necessary for the satisfactory execution of duties.
- To analyse and cost any service given to clients and to liaise with the Operations Manager-Technical & Sales Division and the Technical Specialists-Team Leader to ensure that clients are invoiced correctly and in a timely manner.
- To work towards targets agreed with Management.
- To handle all customers in an enthusiastic and professional manner.
- To repair or replace worn and faulty parts by removing/dismantling them and check parts, referring to manuals as necessary.
- To reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts and use various instruments to make sure they are working properly.
- To install new equipment at clients premises and ensure that it is functioning properly.
- To maintain all instruments and tools in good repair.
- To keep records of the problems and servicing requirements so as to enable better diagnosis in the future.
- To promote the Companys image, supplies and services at all times.
- To assist other technicians in the analysis and repair of faults in equipment, when necessary.
- To keep abreast with the latest technical developments in the products handled by the Company.
- To be willing to work on standby/after-office-hours support
- To maintain an organized Department administration, stores, spares, cleanliness of the workshop.
- To ensure a high quality/standard of work and service throughout.
- To perform any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
- Possess a minimum of 2 years experience supporting mechanical and electronic equipment;
- Have a Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and /or Mechanical Engineering (MQF level 4 would be desirable);
- Be familiar with Microsoft Office applications;
- Possess a good level of verbal and written communication skills in English;
- Be reliable, possess a clean police conduct certificate and driving licence;
- Be able to work in a team and possess good organizational skills with an eye for detail;
- Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Be willing to work on-call (on a rotation basis);
- Be willing to travel abroad for training purposes

- Working Hours: Monday to Friday from 8.00 - to 17.00
