Senior Manager - Project Audit Manager
Overview
On Behalf of our Client, Manpower is seeking to recruit a Senior Project Audit Manager.
The Project Audit Manager (PAM) will have the overall responsibility for auditing local and EU-funded projects being run by the company. The PAM shall act as a key coordinator between various departments, including the Project Implementation Team, Procurement Department, Finance Department, EU funds managing authorities, and respective ministries.
Job Responsibilities:
As Project Audit Manager, your tasks will include:
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders throughout different phases of local and EU-funded project implementation, both within and outside the company.
- Act as a reference point during Project Audits, ensuring a smooth process while drawing up reports to document and disseminate the outcomes of audits.
- Manage the structural funds unit, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring, and reporting as necessary.
- Monitor and keep track of any changes, ensuring that the managing authority is notified in a timely manner.
- Constantly monitor and update the disbursement tool and monitor disbursement progress, ensuring that set targets and projections are met for all funding instruments.
- Assist in preparing policies, strategies, and procedures for managing both local and EU-funded projects related to the company.
- Present comprehensive reports documenting progress on major projects to the Managing Authority and follow up on matters raised by the same Authority in relation to clarifications and Statements of Expenditure (SoEs).
- Monitor the progress of the Section's KPIs and work programmes, and take necessary action to deliver the required performance.
- Participate in preparing annual work programmes and budgets for the local and EU Funds Management Section and carry out the necessary budgetary control.
- Follow Professional Development Programmes provided by the company.
- Participate in and contribute to cross-functional teams as required, consult with relevant departments as necessary, and provide training as needed.
- Assist the Management in compiling reports as per respective requirements.
- Coordinate with the Quality Unit to obtain and maintain certifications and accreditations of the company and participate in internal and external audits and peer reviews.
- Carry out any other duties and responsibilities and undertake other assignments as reasonably directed by the Management.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate should be in possession of a minimum of a bachelors degree (MQF Level 6) as recognized and certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) in Business and Administration, Public Policy, Diplomacy, or a relevant field.
- At least 3 years of work experience in a similar role.
If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but have at least five (5) years of working experience in a similar role, we would still be interested in considering you.
