Head of Finance
On Behalf of our Client, Manpower is seeking to recruit a Head of Finance. This role encompasses various functions including accounting management, cash flow supervision, financial reporting, budget preparation, and project accounting.
About the Role:
As Head - Finance, your tasks will include:
Resource Allocation and Cash Flow Management:
- Manage the allocation of financial resources efficiently to support operational needs.
- Monitor and maintain healthy cash flow levels to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
Budgeting, KPI Setting, and Forecasting:
- Lead the budgeting process, collaborating with relevant departments to set realistic financial targets.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop strategies to achieve financial goals.
- Prepare accurate financial forecasts to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
Management Accounts and Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Generate ad hoc financial reports as required by management for decision support.
Statutory Audits and Cost Control:
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate timely completion of statutory audits.
- Implement cost control measures to optimise spending and maximise profitability.
Inventory Control:
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to manage stock levels efficiently.
- Monitor inventory movements and reconcile physical inventory with accounting records.
Accounting, Financial Planning, and Control:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
- Develop and maintain robust financial planning and control processes to safeguard assets and mitigate risks.
Requirements:
- The selected candidate needs to be a self-directed person with a strong work ethic and high expectations for performance; a person leading by example and setting strong professional and personal standards for every activity.
- The role requires the possession of a minimum of a bachelor's degree as recognised and certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- A master's degree or professional certification will be preferred.
- You will also need to have a CPA Warrant, experience in finance or accounting roles, with 5 years in a managerial capacity;
- A strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and
regulatory requirements; - A proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis;
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills and proficiency in financial software.
