Truck Driver C1

Summary
Manpower is seeking to recruit a Truck Driver to join our client's team to provide a very good service to our clients and ensure that all products are delivered in accordance with our quality standards.

Job Responsibilities
:

  • To effect deliveries in accordance with the day to day schedule stipulated by the Company or its representatives. Also, to abide by the delivery instructions on the delivery sheet.
  • To carry out the vehicle checks.
  • To check the safety of the load before leaving the Plant.
  • To drive carefully and courteously.
  • To maintain Company equipment in good order and condition.
  • To ensure the truck is kept clean inside and out.
  • To report vehicle faults immediately.
  • To know the correct procedures to carry out in the event of a vehicle accident and carry them out when the need arises.
  • To ensure that all invoices are signed by driver and also by the client. Also you need to check that the client wrote the name in full and filled out his ID card no.
  • To ensure that the outlet agrees with your all items delivered and empties collected figures i.e. pallets, separators, dollies, trays, kegs etc.
  • To pack stock in the customers store room, as required.
  • To ensure that the stock at the outlet is always rotated i.e. using the F.E.F.O (first expiry first out) procedure.
  • To learn how to check and handle money.
  • To ensure that you are aware and use the correct company and documentation procedures for every type of delivery, including ensuring that all cheques are filled out correctly.
  • To complete all documentation legibly.
  • To collect all product returns and expired that are to be returned back to the company as per invoice.
  • On return to plant fill in the pre assessment form and forward to the checker and truck to be parked according to the checkers instructions.
  • To park at outlets and inside the Company safely (in accordance with the Highway Code), and with care and consideration to the public and other traffic.
  • To collect all monies invoiced on a cash basis from customers. Complete settlement sheet on a daily basis and settle with the cashier on return to the Plant.
  • To hand in all monies, cheques and documents every day without fail. You will be held responsible for making good any shortfall in monies due to the Company as a result of your transactions and deliveries.
  • To ensure that personal appearance is presentable and clean i.e. no piercing, clean uniform, well groomed etc.
  • To abide by the rules of the Company as far as personal behaviour. In particular, NO DRINKING of alcoholic beverages during working hours.
  • To ensure that you abide by the Company credit procedures and rules do not give credit to unauthorised customers. You will be held responsible for granting unauthorised credit.
  • To perform all assigned duties with a minimum amount of supervision.
  • To conduct all business transactions and behave in a manner that promotes the Company image and maintains customer satisfaction and goodwill.
  • To be responsible for the helper assigned to him during deliveries.

Requirements:

  • In possession of a valid Driver's License C1 
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Customer-oriented.
  • Able to walk, drive, lift and carry heavy items for extended periods.
  • Candidates with previous experience will be given preference.
