Chief Operating Officer
Overall Purpose
To strategically manage Groups day-to-day operations and is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the efficient and effective operation of key areas within the Group, specifically ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), Health and Safety, Policies and Procedures, and Logistics, while fostering collaboration and alignment among all departments to achieve organizational goals.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To ensure that the right professionals are engaged and to manage ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), Health and Safety, Policies and Procedures, and Logistics effectively, and provide overall supervision and management of day-to-day operations to ensure they align with the group's strategic objectives.
- To manage and provide guidance to the IT Project Manager, the Technology Department, and the Legal Council.
- To develop and execute the company's strategic plans and goals in collaboration with the CEO and other top executives.
- To identify and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
- To optimize resource allocation, including budget management, to achieve operational and financial goals.
- To assess and manage operational risks, including compliance, legal, and financial risks, to protect the organization.
- To establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the group's performance and make data-driven decisions.
- To foster collaboration and coordination among different departments and teams to ensure the smooth flow of information and resources.
- To lead change initiatives and support the group in adapting to market shifts, technology changes, and other evolving factors.
- To manage the supply chain and logistics to ensure a smooth flow of materials and products to support operations.
- To evaluate and implement technology solutions to improve operational efficiency and competitiveness.
- To ensure the group complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- To lead or support merger and acquisition activities, due diligence, and integration efforts.
- To develop and implement crisis management and business continuity plans to address unforeseen challenges.
- To build and lead effective operational teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- To report to the CEO and communicate with key stakeholders regarding operational performance and strategic initiatives.
- To address sustainability and social responsibility issues, aligning the company's operations with ethical and environmental considerations.
- To stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscapes to make informed decisions about operations.
- To oversee internal and external communication to maintain a positive company image and transparent information flow.
- To ensure the organization's legal interests are protected, oversee contract negotiations, and manage legal affairs.
Job Requirements
- A bachelors degree in business administration, Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Extensive leadership experience in operations, preferably in various industries, with a strong track record of strategic planning and operational management.
- In-depth understanding of the group's diversified industry, competitors, and market dynamics.
- Strong knowledge of ESG, health and safety, logistics, and policy management.
- Excellent leadership abilities, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in leading change initiatives and fostering adaptability.
- The ability to develop, communicate, and execute a clear organizational strategy in alignment with the group's vision.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and expertise in optimizing processes and enhancing efficiency.
