Tax Manager

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Tax Manager to join our client's team. As a key member of our client's Tax team, you will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to clients on all aspects of taxation and ensuring compliance with Tax regulations. The successful candidate must have a deep understanding of local Tax legislation, regulations, and procedures, as well as excellent analytical, communication, self-driven and problem-solving skills. As a Tax Manager, you will also play a key role in building and mentoring a team of Tax professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing tax advice for clients as may be relevant.
  • Assisting private clients with their fiscal obligations in terms of the various tax residency schemes.
  • Performing research on ad hoc local, EU and international tax developments.
  • Review tax computations and Tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations and ensure timely submission to relevant authorities.
  • Review tax compliance documents such as shareholders registration forms and claim for refund forms.
  • Respond to Tax-related queries from clients and relevant authorities.
  • Liaise with clients and internal teams to address and resolve tax-related issues.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant updates to clients.
  • Provide training to colleagues and clients on Tax regulations and procedures.
  • Leadership qualities to be able to lead and inspire team members.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Tax compliance and/or tax advisory services, or equivalent experience in a tax role.
  • Be in possession of a university degree in Law or Accountancy or an equivalent qualification.
  • Any other professional qualification in Tax and experience in other areas of tax compliance will be considered as an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of Tax regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, communication.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Be self-motivated and possess strong interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills.
