Quality Control Specialist

SUMMARY
On behalf of our Client, Manpower is seeking to recruit a Quality Control Specialist. The role reports to the Head of Quality and is responsible for inspecting and/or testing products before, during, and after the manufacturing process to ensure that products align with company and legal standards. The role also involves the continuous monitoring of site performance and site audit readiness through continuous walkthroughs, non-conformance investigations and proper system setups.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensuring that all products meet quality standards by testing them to identify defects or measuring them to ensure that they meet legal requirements. Maintain proper records of quality test, procedures, and standards by monitoring product development and process to identify deviations.
  • Recommending changes in process/methods or materials to improve product quality or yield.
  • Reviewing records/data of incoming and production processes as to ensure that they meet specifications for use in production. Approve compliant products and reject defective ones.
  • Lead and create material risk assessments and process improvement plans, by developing and improving quality control standards for future production runs.

People Management

  • Training / developing and lead relevant personnel to ensure they perform their duties in line with established quality procedures and food safety standards. Enforcing standards for health and safety during work operations throughout.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education

  • MQF Level 6, bachelors degree in food science/food technology, Engineering, or related field (Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Biotechnology).

Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of quality assurance/quality control experience within food manufacturing operations, of which 2 + years in leadership role.
