Assistant Financial Controller

Overview
Manpower is seeking to recruit an Assistant Financial Controller to join our client's team.

An international and growing organisation is expanding its finance function and is seeking a commercially minded Assistant Financial Controller. Reporting to senior finance leadership, the role supports management reporting, controls, budgeting, compliance, and operational finance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly management accounts, reporting packs and month-end/year-end close
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and management KPI reporting
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
• Support cash flow monitoring, working capital control and financial planning
• Assist with VAT returns, statutory filings, audits and compliance requirements
• Monitor controls, identify process improvements and support stronger reporting discipline
• Coordinate with finance teams across multiple international jurisdictions
• Support ERP and finance system enhancement initiatives where required

Requirements:

• ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent qualification, or in the final stages of qualification
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations and financial reporting
• Experience in a multi-company or group environment is an advantage
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail, ownership of deliverables and a hands-on approach
• ERP or accounting system experience is advantageous
• Fluent in English
