Senior IT Admin
On Behalf of our Client, Manpower is seeking to recruit a Senior IT Administrator who will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure. This position is responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting network issues, and assisting in the overall management of the organization's systems. The successful candidate will collaborate with IT teams, end-users, and external vendors to ensure the reliability, security, and optimal performance of our network and systems.
Duties and responsibilities
System Administration:
- Assist in administering and supporting servers, encompassing hardware, operating systems, and associated software.
- Execute routine system upgrades and patches for security and optimal performance.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
Network Administration/Maintenance:
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain the organization's network infrastructure to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and potential threats.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Develop and update system documentation, including system manuals and standard operating procedures.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with departments to plan and implement network and system enhancements.
- Work closely with external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Implement monitoring tools to proactively identify and address network and system performance issues.
- Generate regular reports on network and system performance, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
Technical Support for users:
- Deliver prompt first-line technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues.
- Respond to help desk tickets, diagnose problems, and resolve or escalate issues as necessary.
- Provide guidance and training to end-users on IT-related matters.
Additional Job Duties:
- Undertake any other job duties as may be required, adapting to the evolving needs of the organization and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Core competencies, knowledge, and experience
- A minimum of five years experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in provision of technical support and system support roles.
- Diploma in a relevant subject, preferably with a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of server and network hardware. Exceptional proficiency in managing Windows systems (Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022)
- Exceptional proficiency in MS Intune, Purview, Sentinel, Azure, SharePoint, and other MS Services. Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and security measures. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Continuous learner, staying abreast of technological advancements in the field.
