Stores Manager
Job Summary
Manpower is seeking to recruit a Stores Manager to join our client's team.
As a Stores Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the daily operations of the warehouse/stores within the hotel, including receiving, storing, invoices, orders and monitoring stocks of products or materials, while ensuring efficient coordination among the staff.
Responsibilities:
- Handle and confirm purchases and orders.
- Ensure stock arrives on time.
- Monitor the inputting of invoices and request credit notes as per the predetermined deadlines.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
- Supervise and lead the Stores team, assign tasks, and provide guidance, while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Collaborate with various departments, such as Food and Beverage, Administration, and Finance, to ensure that procurement aligns with their needs and supports the overall business operations.
- Implement process improvements, technology enhancements, and best practices to streamline procurement processes and achieve greater efficiency.
- Generate reports and analyse data.
- Attend Stock takes if required.
Requirements:
- A good standard of education.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in inventory management, procurement, or logistics, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English language.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Must be a well-organised individual, able to work independently and flexible to learn and perform different tasks and duties.
- Thrives to work in a challenging environment, able to work well under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
- Contributes towards other hotel activities as appropriate.
- Take environmentally friendly initiatives such as using recycling paper for internal use.
- Willing to work flexible hours including weekends.
- Previous experience with Materials Control will be considered as an advantage.
