Finance Analyst
Summary
To provide day to day finance support in preparing and delivering management accounts.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting functions including ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded and filed
- Management of cash including payments and receipts
- Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger, including preparation of reconciliation of GL balances
- Perform month end / year end closing procedures
- Assistance on the fortnightly and monthly payroll
- Assistance on VAT returns and other tax compliance
- Monitoring, accounting and reporting on factory variances on a regular basis as required by the site
- Identifying trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement
- Provide support on business improvement projects
- Provide support on the budgeting and forecasting process
- Assistance during the internal and external audit
Qualifications
- Actively studying ACCA or equivalent
Education and/or Experience
- At least 3 years of working experience in a similar position, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in Oracle accounting system is considered an asset
Language Skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing
Computer Skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
