We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Live-In Carer to provide dedicated support and companionship to an elderly woman residing in the south of Malta. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in caregiving, a strong understanding of elderly care needs, and the ability to create a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care assistance, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if required.
Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living space.
Offer companionship and emotional support, engaging in conversation and activities to promote mental well-being.
Accompany the client to medical appointments, social outings, and other activities as needed.
Monitor and report any changes in the clients health or behavior to family members or healthcare professionals.
Ensure a safe and comfortable environment, including fall prevention and emergency preparedness.
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in caregiving, preferably with elderly clients.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written); knowledge of Maltese or other languages is a plus.
Strong understanding of elderly care needs.
Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards the elderly.
Ability to work independently and handle situations with discretion and professionalism.
Valid first aid and CPR certification (preferred but not essential).
Minimum MQF Level 3
Working Conditions:
Live-in position with private accommodation provided.
Flexible schedule, including weekends and occasional evenings as needed.
