Welder

Manpower is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Welder to join our clients team.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication and welding of aluminium and steel components according to company specifications and technical drawings. This role involves working on a range of custom-built parts, assemblies, and structures, requiring precision, attention to detail, and strong technical ability.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Carry out welding and fabrication work on aluminium, steel, and stainless-steel components in line with project requirements.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment to ensure optimal performance for various tasks.

• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to plan and execute work accurately.

• Fabricate structural and mechanical parts such as frames, brackets, and pressure vessels.

• Perform MIG, TIG, and MMA welding to a high standard, ensuring strong, clean welds.

• Conduct and produce welds that may be subject to inspection or testing, including x-ray, pressure, or dye penetrant tests.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently, following company and site-specific safety procedures.

• Keep the workspace organized, maintaining tools and equipment in good condition.

• Contribute to the development and improvement of welding procedures and quality standards.

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication, ideally within a similar industrial or manufacturing environment.

• Strong hands-on experience working with aluminium.

• Competent in reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings.

• Skilled in using a range of metalworking and fabrication tools and machinery.

• Capable of working to tight tolerances with high attention to detail and quality.

• Holds valid and recognized welding certifications.

• Self-motivated and reliable, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Committed to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and workmanship.

• Experience with plasma cutting or burner operations will be considered an asset.
